A lovely blend of violin, cello & harp (and flute) or our classic piano trio, the Amethyst Trio consists of outstanding professionals. We provide a unique variety of instrumental and stylistic choices within a small ensemble, since our harpist is also a pianist and flutist. This provides a wide variety of sounds within our small group. Besides the beauty of the standard classical repertoire, we offer a wide selection of styles ranging from broadway to jazz to Coldplay. We like to work with our clients to provide just the right selection of music to create the perfect mood and a memorable event. Many times we are asked to play special requests and we will arrange those specially for our instrumentation. We specialize in the San Francisco Bay Area and in the California wine country - Napa Valley and Sonoma.

Unlike most classical groups, we provide our own amplification when needed. Amplification can be central to creating the correct sound level for an event - particularly for receptions, dinners and other events with ambient noise. Most classical groups do not provide any amplification and do not have expertise in this area. We, however, have been playing events for over 10 years and we do understand the necessity of finding just the correct balance of sound. Whether as background music or as a centerpiece for an event, we want to work with you to make your event memorable and successful. That is our goal.
